A lover missed
Author: Unknown
In Your garden
What would I be?
If not me!
How about a strong Oak
Or flowering cherry tree
Why not a flower
A rose maybe
A Lilly an Orchid, Iris, Sweet pea
Jasmine, Lavender, a Peony possible
Too much choice, so not for me
Maybe a Pear, pulled from a tree
A delicious strawberry eaten care free
Or even a cherry, juicy, sweet, mouth wateringly
Better still I’ll sing you a song
From high in the canopy
A Black bird, Thrush, Robin, Dove, I can be
And sing you a sweet melody
I’d be the breeze flowing through your hair
The sunlight as it danced across your face
Soft rain hanging tears on a nearby tree
Anything that gets me close to thee
I know now what I’ll be
A garden chair where you do rest
Sun on your face, feeling your best
Is the place I’d love to be
Right beside you, next to me
