sharing each other

Dream reflections of my mind
take me on a journey
where the paths i find
lead one too forgotten friends
and lovers once we knew
but girl i have a message
to now say unto you

I wish i could have begun
my life with you
starting off as sweethearts
growing up together
childhood memories teenager changing
going to a movie
with pop corn for two

Sharing in time and days
learning our ways
finding common ground
arguing and making up
growing stronger in love
as we find ourselves
planning for a future

And one day then
there in a church for two
you say you will
as i propose to you
such are the thoughts
of a guy looking back
and seeing debra blue

Now you are here
returned from the past
you have reflections too
two roads meeting
after all the years
finally we found ourselves
sweethearts after all....

Hi, serpico12,
It's never too late to begin anew with debra blue, or anyone, as long as both hearts are in it. A lovely reflection! All the best in 2011!

A great "dream reflection"... beautiful, thoughtful words. I've sometimes wondered what it was like for those who married their childhood sweetheart & stayed married all their years. I've known or heard of a few... and it sounds wonderful.

Wow...though not a "childhood" sweetheart, what a fantastic love you've written of. Beautiful, loving, thought-provoking words... outstanding write!(I seem to be repeating myself-lol, but it's really great!)

Best wishes... and keep writing! wine teddybear
