To those who venture

Sad is the fate of rose that shed and lost its petals,
We contemplate a wilting of a life that’s passing by,
If only we could know where fate would take us,
Much more would be revealed to our mind’s eye.
If only we could see through heavy mist and haze,
We‘d easily imagine love as cruel and hurting.
We wouldn't fail foreseeing what's the end,
Should wisdom ever told us that we’re erring.
We would be cautious, thinking more than twice,
Had we an inkling of the agony we‘re about to bear,
That endless suffering would be in store for us,
Wise is a man who won't be tempted and bewares.
No matter how uneasy you should feel, just dare,
You’re face to face with love, succumb and bear.

Too true Marikia. If you think to much it stifles, certainly emotion, but isn't it nice to be aware of that journey and enjoy it in a double sense. cheers

Hi Marikia

I agree with Ladybee, Marikia, a sonnet-like structure to this intriguing poem.
