Along Came You

Because the world is on a string
Because the world don't mean a thing
The sky above and hell below
Can't stop the way I feel.. So let it show.

Like a baby's breath or the day we die
There are times in life that don't come twice
Then along came you and shined your light
Illuminated...My darkest night.

When all the children come to play
When all the wolves are kept at bay
When the whole world now is on it's own
Can't stop the way I feel, so let it go.

Because "the world don't mean a thing" - indeed, it wouldn't mean any thing if it were not for love, coming our way. If not today then it will be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, when love will give meaning to our very existence, making us wonder where we were and what we were for without it. Your poem gives rise to hopes, for which I am thankful to you, ROS, and wish you all the best in your love!
