ragged soul

And when the ragged rolling soul
upon this earth made up of moss
doth run the journey it begun
from early morn to setting sun

And tell me what the sum of this
of work and pleasure sown in us
and still we sense the well is dry
locate my purpose be the cry

So roll along you ragged soul
until life stops you to behold
the beauty silent all around
and lay you down on holy ground
