I first thought about it in eighth grade This world population was getting too big Back when Jesus was around it was only 200 million That was what mother nature intended They discovered cures for things that kept us in check Now we are a virus on this wonderful planet We got too smart for our own good it seems We'll be 7 billion by the end of 2011 I shouldn't care about this but it hurts The jobs and the animals are being destroyed by it The water, the air, the plants and animals are being destroyed by it So I recycle, I don't litter, I do what I can but I feel like a samonella bacteria confused and choking on the crap of all the others How big will we get? Will we ever go to Mars? Will we ever find a solution? Or will we just recycle another soda bottle?

About this poem:
The biggest problem we face in this and the last century I feel.
i dont know too much on this maybe we're the cause of a few things. i feelhe has made woman for preserving our future but many problems are man made there are somethings we should tamper with.
A very controversial subject. Do we just allow one child per family like some countries, or concentrate money in producing hybrid food products or cut back on health care, or what. No easy solutions but yes we should treat nature better and perhaps she will treat us better.

mcradloff...this is without doubt the most important issue of our times....we're are here now and can't sustain it unless a large extent of us live at a barely subsistent level. I fear that Nature will eventually act as Nature does. A good topic for message poetry.

A peice of writing after my own heart, no solutions other than to do my bit recycling etc conservation, big problems would not be so big if we all did a little bit.

Hopefully Mother Nature will come up with a plan...if the entire human race perished , Nature wouldn't even miss us. Humans have grown too greedy and too careless. Good poem McRad.
