Cowboys always see the promise of a new day, a better time ahead and the gifts that have been bestowed upon us. I'm so glad that you liked this piece. :)

Hi Mary
I just knew that last stanza would clinch the deal, all those things really are love...
Enjoyable read...

I think of brand new things on earth And sparkling skies above... I guess the saying's right at that, For all these things are love!
Next to Christmas, I enjoy the delights of Spring. New foals and calves being welcomed into the world, the peep of fluffy chicks following the hens in search of worms. Hope does always Spring eternal. :) I'm so glad you liked this work. :)

I love your poem...very uplifting and full of promise. No wonder ranchers stick out the tough times for the rewards seem heaven sent.
