Sacred Ground

Two hours run east of the coast
Lies a sacred ground
Enjoyed by most

Here you'll find a myriad of hues
Crystal clear waters
To absolve the blues

Although they run shallow an deep
In amongst it all
Is this amazing reef

Home of many a dazzling creature
The reef by far
Is the outstanding feature

The colours delight when in full bloom
A hidden world
Where there is no gloom

Without its presence
A barren waste would be
An not but a home for anything hence

So if by chance you have the time
Make the effort
When the weather is fine

And thats where you'll discover
An addiction of liesure
The beauty of the reef will make you its lover

Nuwahri61.....I admit to have only passed through Australia...though once was stranded in Sydney airport for 3 days and nights.....so the reef is unknown....but you obviously love it and explained it clearly.....next time you visit...take a photo.....so we can share a bit more....

Hi, Nuwahri61,
The beauty of the reef will make you its lover. The truth of its beauty is well told by your poem.
