just any words won't do it to make my dreams come true though I hear your voice so sweetly as you can hear mine too our hands are joined so tightly strolling down the avenue you wrap your arms around me our passion shining through I gaze with need and pleading into your eyes of deepest blue for so long we've been together but now I must bid you adieu 'cause just any words won't do it unless they're...'I love you'

About this poem:
is saying or hearing the words 'I love you' overated...?
Not overated, of course, but love is more than words, I suppose. Don't pin your hopes on words only, dig deeper, perhaps the answer is there. I enjoyed the poem very much, thank you.

I liked your poem, but for me action speak louder than trips of the tounge

I always say, actions speak louder than words, and yes, saying an empty 'i love you', is well, empty..., nice write
Hi, hedistuff, Fortunately, as poets, we have lots of words from which to choose, including just any words. For many, love is more than our passion shining through. Some want it all, actions and words! I'm with them. Thank you for sharing.
