Silhouette

I see but a shape from a distance walking towards me
A darkness from beyond my visions sight
Its size getting bigger as it approaches
The skys blue its backdrop of light

Pondering who else could be out here
In amongst my field of dreams
Where my thoughts are procured an envisioned
An anything can be what it seems

As i seek to put pen to paper
At a glance i know your not far
The outline of your personna
Deliberates like a bright star

Focusing my eyes with fervour
To entice them to reveal who you are
Astounded by my amazement
I've realised i've come so far

For before me stands me
As i awaken from my nap
Trying desperately to remember
Pen an paper in my lap

My life is not just a silhouette
It has more meaning than that
Abounding with depths unseen
Binding an immersing that

The deepness of our souls
Are reflected in what we write
Giving substance to our lives
Giving shape to our character with delight
