I don't know how to handle One way conversations Like hearing someone’s story Leaves out the important parts How it made them feel What it meant to them Just a bunch of facts That goes on and on and on 20 min of fluff or facts Maybe that be good If you were writing a story Than maybe it could But not so good when Trying a conversation It's like listening to a tape Waiting for it to be over Or move on to the next song Dare try not interrupt Or you wind it back and play The same thing over again I get so frustrated and I just don't know what to do Or say because I'm afraid It will start another story One I've already heard

About this poem:
We all have experienced these...so say a couple sentences and pause...listen .......repeat......listen....pause......practise.....
Opps Yankee4you...hope no female poet on PC remembers telling you her woes......but yes, it happens, sometimes it's easier to listen...and hope there is no repeat performance....just think you're better than paying for a flash office with a couch.... made me smile......but I have a feeling I know someone who would nod with reconition maybe I best point it out to him....Niah
This is self directed...like a self-potrait..Outside looking inside....I'm writing about meeee!! Being a good conversationalist is an achieved status...me thinks...
Hi, Yankee4you, I'm smiling. Although there have been a few times when I have marveled at and even been thankful for a one-way conversationalist, I must say I, too, prefer the two-way-conversation variety...that includes those important parts!
