Total Eclipse

Red-moon alignment’s
ruby rays trickle, tracing
winter’s illusion.

A perfect 'English' Haiku.
I didn't watch it yesterday, but this must be very close to the natural phenomenon's beauty.

Hi GNJ

It is very rare for a haiku to tick my boxes the way this one does, as the sheer brevity of them is a challenge to the wit of the writer that few can negotiate with skill. This one is perfect, much the same as that beautiful eclipse...

Best wishes

hi gnj4u lovely portrait of the moon with poetic imagery...good work...

I liked this terse imagist poem very much. To me, its emotion is tied to the thought more powerfully than what is seen in Pound's "In a Station of the Metro". The superb association of the eclipse of your beloved moon with the dark and cold in the dead of winter can infuse, like Frost's "Dust of snow", messianic hope into a most desperate soul.[/b]
