The music plays as the years roll back And the dancers sway to the beat Eyes seeing not nowadays But of days from distant past
Years disappear from faces old And their bodies younger become The feet they move where rhythm leads Across the dance room floor
Faces glowing, hair flying Bodies move with the beat Forgotten are the aches and pains The joints so stiff with years
The more you look, the more you see The years have drifted back Left is youth, vitality The soul shines from within

About this poem:
Went out for dinner on Thursday and watched a live band. A group of old (50's and 60's) rock n rollers took the floor and you could see the years disapearing and they actually started to look younger.

Now because I have all the R N R music of the 50s and 60's, I understand.....and it's still great today, and yes, once the warm up.....you can forget age.....until the next morning.... great write Steve..... niah
Yes Dance can make the years slip away and tranform us to our youth as most would like to do...and we often must pay for this the next morning as already mentioned by other astute commentators...lol.
