Unfolding Mercy

Fire Angel,
furl your tattered nature.
The reach of the wind is perilous,
in dry-lightening haunted sky.

Tho' you are willing
to burn for your love;
his heart, would rather worship
your goddess breath, scented
with night blooming flowers.

You give your assent
with a serene smile,
and float into his
enfolding arms.
