Walk on the Black Side

Sun has sunk below horizon
And darkness creeps on in
Arctic winds blow through soul
And shatters all hope within

Vultures peck at sightless sockets
Deep to reach the brain therein
Carrion eaters gather round
To tear the flesh from bones

When nothing's left but bleached bones
From baking in the sun
Then you laugh and clap your hands
Thankful that he's gone
