I do not fear the raging sea with its thunderous crash of waves.. My mind stays in perfect peace throughout my alloted days~ I flee not from the face of man for fear brings a snake In boldness do I stand my ground where others would surely quake~ At the voice of thunder I do not hide, nor can lighting change this heart inside~ And fear with all its thousand faces I unmask through heavenly graces~ Surely death would make me swallow my spit as it taunts me from its morbid pit~ And corpses chant dirges that I might lose my faith But my spirit is lifted to a higher place~ Yes, in this world of woe I might stumble and fall But through the love of God I conquer all~

Ty Poetnumber1..' I try to get accross that faith is quite needed in a world where sometimes everything seems to be falling apart. Real faith is real peace..
Hi, cafetwo2010, But my spirit is lifted to a higher place~ When faith elevates humanity to the higher plane of peace through love, it is truly a gift, by the grace of God.

Dear Cafe Jim, Been in your poetry box yet again. And been greatly rewarded yet again.
Beautiful poetry, beautiful poem
and the ending most beautiful of all:
"Yes, in this world of woe I might stumble and fall But through the love of God I conquer all"
Miss you, love you, Cafe. Thank you so, so much for leaving us such a beautiful legacy... I've read & enjoyed loads of your poems, as you know, but still haven't begun to scratch the surface. There are still hundreds of gems to discover any time I find myself back in your poetry box aka treasure box aka fabulous, beautiful, hilarious, kind, compassionate, adventurous writings of a great poet and even greater human being. XO Always, Cat

I love the way you stated that, Lindsy! Yes, he lived to the end what he wrote back in 2011.
And I just noticed a comment he made that's the kind it helps to remember in this world - (you know, I think both his poetry and his comments are a legacy here) - the comment:
"...I try to get accross that faith is quite needed in a world where sometimes everything seems to be falling apart. Real faith is real peace.. "
Gotta remember that one. (See Jim - you made a far greater impact than you felt you did... and we love you for it- XO)
He was a rough tough Angel of God walking this earth. Well done God's soldier - please give my Mom a hug and kiss in Heaven - might shake her up a bit but I bet she would love it! Miss you old friend.
