Love Still Frozen in Rocks

Follow me my footsteps for awhile
Notice only one set of tracks
My path going over many a mile
Here and there many cutbacks
Waiting for something worthwhile
Meteors perhaps waiting impacts
How long must my heart be sessile
And my love still frozen in rocks
Every thought of you brings a new smile
All across my face causing cracks
When my thoughts of you so compile
Bringing all to life what it lacks

Thinking about how liberating love it..breaking us loose like emerging from a rock......or out of a shell.....

Hi Yankee

This rhyming style is not easy to sustain throughout a 12 line stanza, but you have carried it off with elan... Enjoyed the read.

It's a great challenge to make it work like that....but words they just always seem able to bend sometimes just enough if you know what I mean??
