I rubbed the tummy of the Bhudda Hoping good luck would befall on me But short of not being eaten by a Barracuda I'm still waiting patiently to see You haven't called or dropped by Guess I need to have patience I should try bravely not to sigh I must concentrate on your presence For Bhudda to answer my prayer One day I'll look up and ....youll finally be there!

About this poem:
If you rub the tummy of a Bhudda statue and make a wish it is supposed to come true. One must have patience...and believe...Little Grasshopper!!
I came across this quote about patience: "What is patience? It is a divine virtue. Unfortunately we are not only badly wanting in this divine virtue, but we also neglect it most foolishly." Can't agree more. Even without rubbing the tummy of Buddha, if not wanting in patience, we can hope for something good coming our way. Wish your luck were always with you, dear poet! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Ayhra. Trying to sarcastically demonstrate that just wishfull thinking of whatever you are after is perhaps not enough. Some positive thinking and action might go a long way. <-Action

Positive, fun, uplifting...thanks for a fine read.
I need to get to a Buddha pretty soon I think
It does work. I rubbed the tummy of a brass Buddha and got though all of my exams. Just keep the hope alive.
I am sure I lack patience but not as much as
some.
Orientalkaru...and majical power sometimes
too.
