A Sailor's Nightmare

Raging waters crashing into our hull
Where we cross the turbulent streams
Sometimes our horror runs so deep
Roiling currents that push and pull
Waking us from our slumbering dreams
Hearing strange noises from the deep
Ever watchful eye of a blackhooded gull
Fearful our ship falling apart at the seams
Horrible creatures across the bottom creep
Eiry glows a green crumbling skull
Coming from a sunken cavern of screams
Lost in a world that will never sleep
