Redemption

Carefully I uncover
My hurting soul
Peeling back my skin
To the layers of rot
That so lies within
Right at its very core
Pruning back evil
So death is no more
Taking hold of me
Scarred but still alive
I sit in silent pain
Tears tinged with blood

Thanks a lot for this moving sensitive piece....well written dear poet. It always takes courage to fight a disease, specially the big C, but we should always feel victorious and cultivate joy each day inspite of pain.... we have to appreciate our daily existence and take one step at a time in our tasks. Thanks again for sharing this.teddybear purple heart bouquet
