Cell Phone Wonders

Often I will wonder at the meaning of it all
When texting back and forth is better than a call
Could words be lost of meaning when not spoken?
Today the phones don’t even ring like a bell
That just drives me crazy and ask, “What the hell”
What in the world is such noise by that token?
Download apps or whatever they’re called
Don’t look now but the phone bill has them all
Did I press the wrong button or was I misspoken?
Watch out putting cell phones in your pocket
The butt calls you make can take off like a rocket
And while we’re talking about this, “Just for the record”
I did ‘not’ place a call to some lady from Hoboken

About this poem:
I like the old fashioned phones better, but you know I got a cell phone too and it chirps like a cricket :))

Yankee4you....I guess its cheaper...I still have 500 free unused NZ text, because I get free national tolls , but worldwide, it is text all the way...which also allows written language, rather than spoken and long pauses.....caused by translation....but I know what you mean....Kathydancing teddybear
