A Heart's Surrender

You said you wanted me to hold you tight
Your hazel eyes gleaming like smoked pearls
There was no way I could resist or fight
The way you let your hair hang down in curls
Oh ...My heart runs away when I surrender
I should not have let you touched my face
With a fingernail painted that shiny red
Can I ever be strong enough to pull away
So great is your force wants me to stay
You know so well I will love you anyway

Beautiful yankee purple heart

I've read a lot of your work Yankee, and I don't doubt you could write an excellent sonnet. This vignette has a number of well rhymed lines which would sit well in a sonnet - just an idle thought of mine as I was reading through this.

I enjoyed the read.
