Passing through all these portals over time Lying on the edge of consciousness rift Swaying back and forth between stars we climb To the center where both our souls will drift
Please give me back what will not float away Become trapped in rings that orbit my core Like holding a match to papier-mache Cannon shots through sails of a 'man-at-war'
Once again my dreams be set free at sea Cause only there seperates day from night Sets our senses to some highest degree The sunrise and sets in sweeteness and light
That all these portals of time passing through Make many days blessed for me and you

Hi yankee so gentle the phrasing in your sonnet is really imaginative... I liked this a lot kudos Passing through all these portals over time Lying on the edge of consciousness rift Swaying back and forth between stars we climb To the center where both our souls will drift

I love the imagery in this sonnet. I find to come up with original images is the hardest thing in poetry.
Another graceful sonnet with some stunning use of metaphor...
Kudos
