A tear in my eye
An ache in my heart
Let me take you
Back to the start
You said hello
And made me smile
You asked can we chat
If but for a while
I learned of you
And you of me
A bond was forged
It still pulls at me
No matter what happens
Or where things go
There’s just one thing
You need to know
You have my heart
Until the end
Forever you remain
A very dear friend
