Reasons

Our err
And our excuses
A limitation of our nature
For we are bound
An explanation seeker
And a reason being

Justification our reality
Empiricism our faith
Physical senses our rod
Thus to condition
Remains our living experiences

Once asked about intuition
To reason I retorted
For am now a spirit
In a machine cloak
Thus a timely device
For a reason!

About this poem:
To be anything we must have a reason. We live in a conditioned world that is turning us into machines.

Hi, mubodi,
With Physical senses our rod, we are everything we are, with or without reason. I enjoyed this thought-provoking write.

Your poem sent me back about 10 years when I worked in an office environment, as this mindset truly permeated me. Once I stepped away from the office and into a manufacturing environment, I found it quite the opposite.

Great poem!

Thanks imamural, that is a nice observation you have.

Mubodj, thank you so much for this very vivid capability of man's commitment to err. I might add on the punch that you presented. "A limitation of our nature." Very well said. Beautiful strand of truth mubodJ

Thank you so much and welcome and keep coming with those beautiful refreshing lines.
