Heaven Is This Place

Somewhere out past the moon, beyond the sun.
I know it is there, yet,it is nowhere at all,
For it is not made of the dust or for anyone,
But each shall know where when we hear the call.

It is past the Milky Way,behind the brightest star,
Yet it is just across the river, over the hill,
Always close but forever just a bit too far,
And that is where you are and I miss you still.

Then at night I hold you tight within my dreams,
And I kiss your cheeks as I stroke your hair,
But then dawn shatters my slumber as I scream,
Why dear Lord have I this burden to bear.

Yes,Heaven is this place I seek to uncover,
But the only path that will lead me there
Is the one that I wish for all to discover,
Through Jesus our Lord for us all to share.
