Staircase

Staircase

Atop this staircase where angels shine
I was shown a mansion and told it was mine,
I was then shown a host of people I knew
And told we would meet when life was through.

I then knew that I was not to stay,
For I had to help still others find their way,
But I've only small knowledge of Your word,
He said to be guided by what I've heard.

What can I do to be worthy of such trust,
Could I earn this honour before I am dust,
So I remain humble serving He who is just,
Keeping faithful to His guidance I must.
