Some Shining Love (Jazzy's Challenge)

Sometimes I think for no better reason
Than a mood to create love is casting
So cycles of life and the four seasons
Are always changing and everlasting

So when our golden dreams go up in smoke
Many lonely nights become filled with fears
Bless those silven shadows their broader stroke
Matte dull the sadness flowing out in tears

Hardly ever once when we were younger
So much time alone in this face was carved
Where no wrinkles ever knew such hunger
Skin sagging off yellow bones feeling starved

Truly only dullness lacks fo' luster
So be all the light that love can muster

About this poem:
Just thinking about old age....and how we must look from the inside
of our body outwards and not from the outside inward....I guess...??
Taking up Jazzy's challenge...

Odette.... It was fun writing this. Sometimes these writes just flow out of us....like this would just came together quickly...when I'm free to just creatively express a feeling like that...

Hi Yankee

The use of archaic metaphor works particularly well in this superb traditional style sonnet. A great write...
