If you could only see me now,
You could laugh knowing how
Silly death really is because
It's enough to give applause.
It is such a waste to grieve
Because someone had to leave,
For we are too happy to morn,
But you feel lost and forlorn.
I tell you Mom I'm doing so great
And you must not mourn my fate,
For our souls are linked by love,
Through Lord Jesus Christ above.

While grieving is a natural and healthy response, hopefully, knowing/feeling ...our souls are linked by love will bring a degree of comfort to one facing such great loss.
