Beyond All Measure

Beyond All Measure

They have what others cannot find,
Contentment upon their faces,
With a happiness few could find;
Would they ever trade me places?

Man has sought what's in her eyes,
A beauty that outshines sadness,
Her smile lights stars in all the skies,
With a wisdom full of gladness.

I envy them who have such treasure,
For their secret is in pure love,
And from this love beyond all measure,
Is a joy straight from up above.

What I read in their faces was a realization of their fate but a contentment knowing they have someone to share their abbreviated life with.There was great beauty there,especially in her eyes.
