Fantasy Girl

By: Jay Hershorn

Oh how I longed for the soft, gentle touch of her hand upon my face. With our bodies pressed close together and my arm wrapped lovingly around her curvaceous lower back, I stared into her eyes. As I gazed into those beautiful creamy pools of soft brown, I found myself getting lost; lost in the deepest depths of her soul. Her soul had revealed unto me, a revelation that would lift the very storm off the face of Jupiter itself. I saw myself on a tropical island that existed only in the dreams of the innocent. Accompanying me was the woman whom which my eyes had gazed upon. We appeared to be walking along the beach together, hand-in-hand, taking in and enjoying the warm summer breeze. Although neither of us had spoken a single word, I gathered from her smile, her very lips, that she was jovial in her thoughts of me. I watched as her hair gently swayed in the breeze, glistening in the sun. I surveyed two pelicans flying over the ocean, gently flapping their wings, similar to that of Icarus who wanted so badly to fly close to the sun. The warm, gentle wind swept past us, my lover embracing it so freely, while the very heart of the wind expressed itself to me, leaving but merely a soft whisper in my ear consisting of only a single word; “Aphrodite.”
