Forgive them

Forgive them if they slight you
for the faith which you believe
forgive them if they know it all
and flatter to deceive
forgive them if they think that faith
is a mind of fantasy
forgive them for they seek to fill
all thats eternally empty
forgive them if they call you mad
their sanity has it's bounds
forgive them if they seek to shoot
with empty secular rounds
forgive them if they see their god
as a measure of material gain
forgive them if they start to laugh
and smirk to hide the pain
forgive them for it's death they fear
the dark besets the end
forgive them for they envy you
and still cant comprehend
forgive them as they're human
only so far they can see
the gateway to a mind at peace
and you have the key.

Very nicely written. We must forgive those who do not understand our faith, whatever religion we have chosen for ourselves. The peace that can come from faith is enviable indeed. Thank you for sharing this with us.
