The Sweetest Whisper

The Sweetest Whisper

I heard the sweetest whisper take fight
Cold and alone in the middle of the night
It awakened me from a restless sleep
In my bed, the safest covered keep

The soft sweet voice had a familiar sound
The kind that makes your heart pound
And then I attmpted some more tries
Again closing my sleep weary eyes

In a flash it dawned on me
Thinking I knew that voice you see
Had it come right from a dream
A fantasy, but so real it did seem

And each time my weary eyes would close
Again that sweetest whisper arose
The sweetest whisper wouldn't quit
Yet again and again I just couldn't place it

Thanks Redex as we all must keep guessing I suppose, and I will, what else does the romantic dreamer do but to keep the dream alive.
