YOUR VOICE
Like a splash of cold sea water on a hot, hot day
When I see your face appear
Always seems a wee miracle
That you are in my life.
Hope I don’t take for granted that you are
Like a splash of cold sea water on a hot, hot day
When the summer sun beats down
It never seems to surprise me.
Life is so short that we have to try
To always appreciate and not question why,
Like a splash of cold sea water on a hot, hot day
For asking why may make you disappear.
How sad that would be for me never to see you again.
It would be like my life would then be empty.
Yes empty without you so I have to say, you are
Like a splash of cold sea water on a hot, hot day.
