Thank you Mr Hooker

Back when my first wife left
me I bought a house with you
you helped me through the bad
times and I looked up to you
when ever I sit on my deck
quaffing a beer after the lawns
are mown I've showered and
dressed afresh I sit there
all alone
enjoying
the sun
shine
listening
to my
stereo
I think how lucky the world is
that someone as cool as you was born
and how lucky i was to find you
and later when I'm drunk and dancing
like no white man should be able
I reflect on your legacy and wonder
how many other people you made happy in their own lovely homes
it must be heaps I'm sure because
hey you started out in the u.s.a
and now you are all the way out my way
obviously Aussie probably Europe also
what about the middle east,China,Indonesia
the Philipines,Russia,India,japan
and like... Lesoto
well if you're not you should be
you definatly deserve
all the royalties you'd be getting
twenty odd years later
and wife number two bites the dust
you're there for me again just sharing
and listening as I process my pain
I'll get on the net and sing your praises
everyone should have the chance
to experience your magic
at least once before they die
so with that happy thought
at the end of another long day

I say

nobody does it better

and

thank you Mr Hooker
