Superman Rap Song

Well, now, Superman is a real cool dude.
He's not even the least bit rude.
He helps old ladies across the street,
And says, "Howdy, maam," whenever they meet.
He's mean and nasty when bad dudes try
To do a bad number on the little guy.
He helps the police to do a good job,
And gives bad dudes a thump on the noggin'.

Well, now, just for a little change of pace,
He flew through the air at a rapid pace.
Too bad he didn't see the storm a'brewing,
'Cause when lightning struck, he turned blue.
Ten million volts did Superman get,
And ten thousand amps 'cause the sky was wet.
He got these volts, and he got these amps,
Right square in the seat of his pants.

Well, now, Superman was a real cool dude.
He wasn't even the least bit rude.
The old ladies help him across the street,
And say, "Howdy, sir", whenever they meet.
He was mean and nasty when the bad dudes tried
To do a bad number on the little guy.
The police help him to do a good job,
And give bad dudes a thump on the noggin'.

Well, now, just for a little change of pace,
He hobbled down the street at a very slow pace.
Too bad he didn't see the manhole open,
'Cause when he hit water, he turned blue.
Ten million volts did Superman get,
And ten thousand amps 'cause the water was wet.
He got these volts, and he got these amps,
Right square in the seat of his pants.

About this poem:
This is a silly rap song I wrote a long time ago. It was the first song I ever wrote, and my only rap song. The song is about what happens to us as we travel through life. I just used Superman as a metaphor for what happens to us in life. We're going along just great, maybe not paying full attention, and we have a head on collision with reality. Then, just as we're starting to recover from that, maybe we get hit again. That's the way life works sometimes.
