North ... South ... East ... West... Where will you be? Bound by the chains of confusion and despair... Not knowing who you are? Or free as a bird Drifting effortlessly on the breezes of the four winds... Experiencing who you are....

About this poem:
Just some reflective thoughts about self discovery ... we all have a need to free ourselves of the tethers that hinder the evolution of inner peace and harmony in our lives ... that begins with exploring our own potential ... facing the demons we all harbour in our minds and hearts and honestly and humbly acknowledge and accept that we are the masters of our own destiny ... we can then make the changes necessary for growth as individuals

You are certainly right about the footnote.I am actually not fond of writing footnotes but it certainly prevents one from drawing the wrong conclusion, fine write.

I go into the Mountains...it is there I feel free as a bird..where the silence seeps into my soul. Unlike poetno1...I truly like footnotes...I have learned so much by reading them...please don't stop writing them.

Hi PIN
I agree with the general philosophy of this vignette, having said that, introspection has never been a strong point of mine, probably to my detriment. A thoughtful write...

Where will you be?
Bound by the chains of confusion and despair...
Not knowing who you are?
Or free as a bird
Drifting effortlessly on the breezes of the four winds...
Experiencing who you are....
