There It Is

There It Is
By Robert N. L. Browning

Closing and opening of doors, eternal hope springs forth
Unsuspecting hearts entwine, something so truly rare to find
A look, a touch, a kiss, holding and feelings of faiths best fight
Love found hiding in a song by the ocean, oh the wonder of it all
There it is, lover’s spirits soar high touched by angel’s light
Frost glows, as sunlight flows, a ballet of leaves crack and fall

Standing in the doorway innocent lives, gazing together at the sky
Bounce in her step, bright eyes, hugs, kisses, and a heart-warming smile
Bathing, lotion, motion and the beautiful smell of whispered desires
Sharing a dream beyond all expectations, oh the wonder of it all
There it is, lover’s hearts dancing so comfortably together
Frost glows, as sunlight flows, a ballet of leaves crack and fall

Growing, stretching and searching two souls sharing life’s journey
Just me, big heart, tender side, character, and life is worth a smile
Mysteries of life and love quietly hiding behind veiled curtains
Love seeming so powerfully true and deep, oh the wonder of it all
There it is, sharing blissful spooning, sleeping, waking and taking
Frost glows, as sunlight flows, a ballet of leaves crack and fall

One door closes, struggling not to wistfully look back, another one opens
Untold secrets haunt, lost treasure abides, now broken inside
More questions than answers resign to spirit divine, greatest love of all time
Gods healing light brings understanding in the night, oh the wonder of it all
There it is, for a moment and now it’s gone, a timeless void so profound
Frost glows, as sunlight flows, a ballet of leaves crack and fall

About this poem:
This is a poem of loss and understanding. It was written with tears for healing. I have learned much since it was written. This is the first time I have shared it in publicly.

After the first deep frost in Wisconsin in the fall, in the bright morning sun, the leaves make a little cracking noise and then fall to the ground in a thick blanket. In that ballet of falling leaves, healing began.

Since this poem was written, I have focused more on the subject of spiritual growth and inspiration.

Warmth and light, Robert
