Tears Fire Wings Joy

Tears Fire Wings Joy
By Robert N. L. Browning

Village tender hearts
Cheerful willing bright
Secluded so near
Veil tattered trust
They fall and soar
Tears from heaven
Birds of fire perched

Phoenix slowly rises
Dreams ascend
From the ashes
Broken wings mend
Music of spheres
Gentle spring shower
Birds of fire flutter

Journey of learning
Bamboo forest wakes
Secretly yearning
Loving embrace
Baby girl cries
Songs key of light
Birds of fire lifts

Icy fingers grasp
Rainbows of flowers
Holy land embrace
Golden spirit avatar
Sacred lake holds
Separation lost
Birds of fire fly

Steep pilgrim’s path
Land and lake lost
Frost covers grass
Healing love frail
Bridge to joy found
Seeking freedoms grail
Birds of fire soars

About this poem:
This poem is in part inspired by a profound near death experience. I felt like a Bird of Fire going to a place of pure love, light and total acceptance. Each day is now a miracle.

"Before enlightenment, chop wood carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood carry water."
