Triton and the Mermaid

The dawns early rays stretches its fingers across the water.
Yawning and growing, wearly its eyes open,
The shadows moan begrudgeonly away,
To reveal the iridescense of her scales,
Glimmering up to her navel.
The shine of her skin is highlighted by the golden orb,
Greedy to absorb her beauty.
Her ochre hair, softly groomed by the lobsters claw,
Her lips stained red from the feast of foolish sailors,
Driven by ignorance of belief.
She slides down , into the world unknown,
Content She has invited souls to her domain.
She awaits for her love to transform.
His fear abates , His life a new beginning,
He breathes her life ,
He lives her life,
A life so beautiful,
He shall remain,
And to love ,
As no mortal shall have,
With fins and scales ,
He'll want no more.
But his mermaid , down below.
