REVIEWING THE SITUATION
World Politicians of the UN,
Watched by ladies and gentlemen of the press,
The latter writing the former up,
While they dine on champagne, salmon and watercress,
Discussing trivialities, theoretical numbers of guns, rockets, mortars and stuff,
Posing for pictures, saying that though they have tried and tried,
Tried to stem the revolution, maybe in a month or two,
Though peace is impossible……Forward a resolution….
“Such and such leader has too much pride, Y’know….They’re not quite up to snuff”,
Well let me tell you this…..From where I sit…..
All of YOU have just NOT tried, anywhere near enough!

About this poem:
Is it just me or has the UN been particularly remiss at upholding it's principles and fulfilling it's obligations to us, the ordinary people of the world, especially these last few months?.....I just felt I wanted to say something...Hope you are all well...Kindest regards,
Andrew...xxx

You are not alone in your views. UN is a political body, and in politics there are divisions within divisions representing many interests, thus making decision making a very long process and sometimes impossible.
Maybe one day, via technology, every citizen on earth will get a cuance to vote. Even then, who is to say, self interest won't rule.
Good for you for expressing your view..
