brushing away the light of distortion total blackness well...total blackness for all but one as I for I am without sight enabling me to see far past the veneer well enough to 'try men's souls', if you would all the layers are peeled back all is exposed as that, which they are as thee, whom they are that's why you don't see a lot of pretty paintings ...from blind artists reality is none too pretty and trust me...I've got a good eye

I lost two of my third eyes...two to go. And....yeah, life has become or mayhaps always was cryptic. Pages are turning quickly in life and values, decisions, and outcomes are no more likely forseen or predicated, than ever. The pendulum has swung just so that now, in the US anyway, Democrat is the political party of the poor (most of us) and Republic is the political party of the ultra wealthy. Little different from all history of man. Only the colors change....the flavours.
Hi, hedistuff, light of distortion is a compelling phrase, combining what one usually thinks of as "opposites"! ...enabling me to see far past the veneer... is a worthy goal. Although there is much beauty in the world, sometimes one does need to look deeper. Glad that the poet's got a good eye! Thanks for sharing your vision with us.
Dude - ya gots ta take that mirror out of the bathroom on bath night I tells ya - you'll slip some night and holey moley there'll be more than a bruised ego then! Do you always ponder life in the bath? Do you take your note pad in to the bath with you then? So many questions so little time
Have you ever tried sitting at the table lighting a couple of candles and writing the first thing that comes into your head? Well, maybe the second or third thing as the first thing is usually 'Gee it's dark in here' and the second is 'Aren't the night sounds louder in the dark?' It's true I swear So write the third thing that comes into your head...and wear clothing it's less distracting...and no mirrors...or beer, well maybe beer.
Lifes nae that bad, but i totally agree with your political views. great write.

Okay Ladybee, I attempted your little exercise. As the candles burned down to the quick, the only thing that came to mind was 'Where's all the white womens at'!
