Random Acts of Kindness

“Paying it forward Jayden Style” God Bless!
Someone donated diamond ring of white gold,
A rich donation in honor of Jayden Lamb -
A cancer victim child - the eight years old.

People all over country, driven by kindness,
Miraculous acts they perform to honor his soul.
Though people are prone to just giving rich things,
Jayden’s loved ones by donation were shocked.

For giver the ring could have meant a world once,
What if doing things for someone helps to cope?!
So movement was born: ‘Pay it Forward, Jayden Style’
People are paying it forward to remember the boy.

Not knowing who’s standing behind in a queue
She felt compelled to buy coffee for stranger.
Jayden's family paid off someone's layaway bill,
It had to be for the toys in honor of Jayden.

It’s so amazing - doing good little things
For someone! Thus challenge was met.
The Lambs asked all to record their deeds
On a "Keep On Truckin' Team Jayden" page.

Ever since August - since launch of Facebook page
People of free will donate for the charities,
Pay for the strangers for meals and gas,
Leave huge tips for servers at restaurants.

This outpour of goodwill’s not for only Christmas’ sake.
It's celebrating spirit of the child, it’s helping all for free.
The Lambs hope it’ll continue long after the festive days
"It doesn't take away the hurt, ... but helps to heal."

About this poem:
"Random Acts of Kindness in Honor of a Little Boy" published on Yahoo.

Here is an illustration of how the author of this Facebook entry feels after her "random act of kindness" and how she makes everyone happy:
"I finally got the chance to 'Pay it Forward Jayden style'," wrote Troy-Ciera Rill on Tuesday. "I was sitting in the drive through at McDonalds & bought a $10 gift card for the 2 guys in the car behind me. The girl at the drive through was touched & I loved seeing the expression on their faces when she gave it to them! Its such an inspiration that your son has put on people. God Bless & Merry Christmas!"

So let us remember, that

“Somehow, not only for Christmas,
But all the long year through,
The joy that you give to others,
Is the joy that comes back to you.
And the more you spend in blessing,
The poor and lonely and sad,
The more of your heart's possessing,
Returns to you glad.”
-- John Greenleaf Whittier

Hi, marikia,
I do believe the world could benefit from as much goodwill as possible. So, 'tis worth celebrating when one is inspired to do Random Acts of Kindness - and write about it, too.

Thank you, dear poets, for appreciation. handshake Doing even very small things for people, no matter who the beneficiary, is so rewarding spiritually. Yesterday a very poorly dressed young woman (possibly a refugee) with a sleeping baby sat down beside me in a bus. My first impulse was, you guessed right, a small act of kindness I could afford - it wasn't much, but you should have seen how surprised and happy she was!

Merry Christmas!!!hug bouquet
