Memories!

When I was a young man, I was called to war, the army drafted me and sent me to a foreign shore

I fell in love with my true love, a War Bride did I adore

We married 42 happy years and how I wanted more

When I think back on how fast life goes bye,
blessed knowing that she was the one for me!

But the Gods thought otherwise and took my angel far away to live in their heaven’s sea

My love and companion to share life‘s dreams they took away from me!

This is the story I want to tell to you, for all that it’s worth!

I hope you find the one that shares your love while you are both here on earth!

Memories are nice, but to hold on to her would have been much better!
