The Search!

The Search!

Hiding behind a cloud of lace

I search for your soft fond, warm embrace

But the wind doth gently blow

And behind another silver cloud you hide, you go!

I search for you, my maiden fair

I search and search, but where, oh! Where?

In the mist of the morning dew

Where are you, are you searching too?

And then I see you run, tip-toeing as you pass my way!

But you are swift and fade, amongst the passing of another day

As the sun rises, I see your pleasing smile

Happily laughing all the while

Listening to music all day through

Oh! My Darling I want to sing along with you

Sweet romantic songs we’d sing

And perhaps to give to you a diamond ring

I search and search, but don’t know where

Oh! Where is my maiden, oh so fair?

Like a flower in a field of many ... she hides!

JimEee - if you are in reality the way you are in your poetry I doubt the mists will be obscuring all for too long laugh

Redex ...

Aye there's the rub ...
For how does one find
A single flower hidden in the field of many
that was meant just for you.
Thank you for your wishes!

Ah! My friend Ladybee42
If I could but put a single Irish Pixie
in my pocket, it would be you!
Lol

I congratulate Robert
on his good fortune, picking an
Irish four leaf clover
and having his wish come true!

Thank you for your nice comment

Skymore ... sweet & romantic
(How nice)

Still searching for the sweetness
of a dreamer's candy kiss!

Of paradise, a search for heaven's
romantic wonderous bliss!

Thanks for your comments!

The main thing is that search goes on and on ... it is pleasure in itself, even if bereaved of past love, cause it may be coming back, who knows?, if you only keep calling; with each gust of wind and each sunrise it intensifies making your hopes rise higher. I envy you, dear poet, for the inexhaustible source of intensive pleasure transformed into words most inspiring and sad at one and the same time. And I am sure you will come out a winner for the voice as intense as this can not be left unnoticed if you only keep calling, even in anguish - maybe in anguish is better. I suspect the one who was meant to be has already heard, but needs time to get to you, if only you don't stop and keep calling!

Walking without you
Means nothing anymore.
Walking near you
Becoming such a chore.
You were my life to me
And all the joy in it.
\You were the one who held me up.
Now you just drag me down.
You were my life and soul,
But at last I replace the crown.
\How can I sit alone and cry
When with you, all I asked was
Why?
And yet my tears won't stop falling
Your name, my lips,
Keep calling.
\You who were my life and soul.
Without you I walk
Alone.
Calling. (by Arynne Hargreaves)

Enjoyed the poem “Walking without you”
… “Calling”. Thank you for your comments.

Tis a need to hear comments from
Poets on Connecting singles. It’s a want,
A need to share and convey thoughts.

To me romantic poems are like the song,
"Indian Love Song”

I’ll be calling you … will you answer too!

I thirst for such emotion and truly wish
my poems could touch one’s heart!
