Where are you?

My soul desires to be quenched... The thirst for love dehydrates me... Love, do you breath and yearn for me? Are you an illusion? Did God paint my lives portrait as a desert wonderer lost in thirst teased by the mirage of love? For when I approach you you seem so vibrant and thriving.... I can hear your pulsating heart. Yet the closer I get the quieter the beats get... Then like the mirage in a desert you dissipate... And all I feel is the scorch of this hot portrait that has me questioning what is hell? Could I be in it? Or am I dreaming awake in a state of lucid dreaming?
