Soldier
Do you carry your gun to heavens gate
Will they let you in if you
Leave it on the battle field where you died

Soldier do you carry a knife
Will they let your war carry on with a knife
Will you leave on the battle field where it was found blood stained in the oppenants side
Soldier will you leave on the battle field wher it was found

Into heavens gate no more wounds of your battle
And walk through heavens gate
Cast of you bad dead on earth bound
Cast of your sins for the death you caused for peace is within heavens door

No more fight is allowed peace shall be restored

It is an interesting question. Do soldiers get judged as severly as a lunatic killing some innocent person? The biggest argument is a soldier is not responsible. He is just doing what he was told to do. He is defending the rights of his country. I guess if a person dies, either way they are dead, what difference does it really make. I don't know, but it must be hard to live with.

I'm a veteran myself, no combat experience. I'm with mcradloff,
a soldier has his/her orders. Once in combat, why hesitate to shoot, cause maybe the other guy won't hesitate to shoot at all.
