Prayer
Author: Ilya Chavchavadze
Our Father, who art in heaven! On bended knees
I’m standing before You with modest plea:
Of You it is not reaches, greatness that I request,
Oh I would hate with this to sacred prayer offend...
I wish instead that sky my humble soul enlighten,
And heart with love that emanates from You ignite,
So that for enemies, ev'n if by them I’m stabbed to death,
I’d ask forgiveness for they know not how they err.

A great prayer...
I would omit only the following, because I'd be a fraud if I say that.
So that for enemies, even if by them I’m stabbed to death,
I’d ask forgiveness for they know not how they err.

"Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday.
Unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear."
Thank you, Kathy, kindest regards!
Good to find out of this author, especially if comes from orthodox church, for this is the foundation of faith and deeds, as i can see in the fruiting tree of this hymn.
