If I could, rewrite my life And “Find” that acceptance We all sometimes seek And finally realise That I cannot Return to yesteryear No more, than I can Borrow time And know, that as the clock Ticks, then That moment is gone Never to return In a myriad Of other moments For no two moments Can be the same And that “Change” Is as inevitable As “Time”
If I could, reside Beside that lake The one I named “Humility” And find “Myself” Where I learn That love Is give and take As is “Life” And “Drowning” In the whirlpool Of past regrets Has no place In the future Bidding “Adieu” To self-pity And leaving “remorse” That tragic emotion Where it belongs In its own “Wake”
I would “Awaken” To a new “Dawn” A fresh beginning Rising from the ashes Of my “Past” Imitating the”Phoenix” Replacing all the emotions Of tragic consequences With a desire To see all things In a differing light And that “Life” Has so much more To offer If I could Now live for today And not for yesterday If I could If I could

About this poem:
If I wore jewellery perhaps I could rename this trilogy as The Lord Of The Blings, If I could.
Hi, trurorob, After penning such a wonderful If I Could trilogy, filled with so much awareness, one could not help but Now live for today. Enjoyed. Now, enjoy!
Mr Rob, awesome piece if i could i would. My biggest understatement. This is why you are the Shaolin Master in the art of kung fu poetry. Thank you for sharing...jesse
