souls

So many souls take the road home every day,
So many go to rest at last in Gods arms.

Sometimes i imagine if you look up,
You will see a silver beam with balls of color,
Floating gently up, and being taken gently home.

It would be easier if it was easy to see,
But then, the meaning of each would be lost and pointless.

R.I.P., rest in peace, in your fathers arms once more.

Such food for thought, ladyjewel, on reading this sobering write, I checked out on google the typical daily death toll for the entire world - it is over 155,000 people per day.

During a typical person's life span, some 4 billion people will die - I'd never, before reading your poem, ever given a thought to these numbers.

Yours is a touching tribute to all those whose time on Earth is over. I wish them all peace in the afterlife.

Kindest regards
